Boys Soccer Wins Federal League Championship

The GlenOak Boys Soccer team made history tonight, capturing the 2025 Federal League Championship with a hard-fought 1-0 victory at Green. With the win, the Golden Eagles improved to 9-2 overall and a perfect 5-0 in league play, securing their first league title in 15 years.

This championship marks the program’s first outright Federal League crown in 30 years, dating back to 1995, and the first championship of any kind since finishing as co-champions in 2010.

The Golden Eagles’ rise continues the momentum from last fall, when they were crowned 2024 District Champions, proving that the program has firmly established itself among the area’s elite.

Head Coach Damien Marchione credited the team’s resilience, teamwork, and defensive toughness as keys to their championship run. The group has leaned on veteran leadership while also seeing major contributions from underclassmen.

With several key matches still ahead, the Golden Eagles are eager to build on this historic moment and carry their success into the postseason.
